Sangam Vihar, located on the southeastern edge of Delhi, is one of the largest unauthorized colonies in the city. Established in 1979, it has grown through a continuous influx of labor migrants seeking affordable housing and entry into the city’s economy. Spanning 5 square kilometers, it is surrounded by starkly contrasting areas such as the affluent Sainik Farms and the working-class neighborhood of Khanpur.
